TASK : Proactive Digital media – Many brands and small businesses are using Pinterest, to get traffic on their websites and buzz around their products. For most consumer brands, the idea behind your brand makes sense on Pinterest. Brands pin images that capture a lifestyle and/or the essence of the brand. Pinterest calls for a more holistic approach to marketing, and it can be more effective and engaging than traditional advertising because the consumers can really see how your brand fits into their lives.
The way it works:
• Lavie pins these quirky images to a pinboard on pintrest • These pins are re-pinned by followers, thus spreading across social network • Each pin links back to the brand website/online catalogue • The pintrest activity shows up on the Lavie’s facebook timeline where Lavie’s original & majority followers reside.
Clicking on Lavie’s pinterest activity on FB, takes you back to the Lavie pinterest page, completing the cycle.
